District of Sechelt
The District of Sechelt wanted to update their dated small town image and create a more contemporary and fun community brand identity for locals, visitors, and businesses. The idea of ‘connecting to what’s important’ led to this stylized letter ‘S’ graphic, which contains the 3 common elements that connect all to the area – sun, mountains, and water.
A unique aspect of the ‘S’ concept is that community leaders and organizers were encouraged to create sub-brand logos that best represented their event or cause. The starting point was the shell of the ‘S’, which they could fill with the 3 elements that best represented their event or initiative. After all, it was their brand.
